“Music on Call” — a program designed to use music to help bring hope and comfort to people who are experiencing challenging circumstances, is back this holiday season. The Owensboro Symphony and Owensboro Health have partnered to put on the program since 2016.
This year’s program kicked off Monday in at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. A full schedule of performances can be found here. Special performances are scheduled for December 13 at 11 a.m. at the Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center and at 2 p.m. at the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Additionally, several performances will be broadcast on Owensboro Health Regional Hospital’s in-house television system, allowing patients to enjoy the music from their rooms.
Music on Call is a community engagement arts program aimed at enhancing lives, providing comfort and hope to those facing challenges, and offering a musical experience that supports health and well-being.
The program is funded by the Owensboro Health Health Investments Grant Program.
