The National Weather Service issued an alert saying drivers should be alert for a “line of intense snow showers” and should be prepared for brief reductions in visibility and short-lived snow accumulations on bridges and elevated roadway surfaces. There will also be gusty winds up to 20 mph.

LOCATION AND MOVEMENT…At 1104 AM CST, a line of intense snow
showers extended from Union County, KY, south to Trigg County, KY,
moving east at 45 mph.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 24 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 42 and 70.
Interstate 165 between Mile Markers 60 and 64.
Interstate 69 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 69 and 137.
Western Kentucky Parkway between Mile Markers 39 and 64.
Pennyrile Parkway between Mile Markers 9 and 34.

mile or less and short-lived snow accumulations on bridges and
similar elevated roadway surfaces. Gusty winds up to 20 mph will
