Owensboro Catholic and Trinity (Whitesville) both won, while Daviess County was stunned at the last second.
Father Ryan (Nashville), TN 51, Daviess County 50
Leading late in the fourth quarter, Daviess County fell to Father Ryan from Nashville 51-50 on a last-second shot. Kennedy Lane continued her streak, scoring a team-high 19 points, including three three-pointers, while Zoey Beehn and Lily Hoagland added 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Owensboro Catholic 53, Graves County 35
Riley Karmin hit six threes to go along with her 20 points to help the Lady Aces beat Graves County 53-35. Aubrey Randolph was second on the team in scoring with 18 points, while Sophia Newby added seven points.
“We started out strong and finished strong, but everything in between wasn’t great,” Owensboro catholic head coach Michael Robertson said.
Trinity (Whitesville) 66, Caverna 29
Eleven different girls scored for Trinity (Whitesville) as they stormed to a 66-29 win over Caverna. Rylynne Meserve led the Lady Raiders in scoring with 14 points, while Sarah Payne added 11. Sophie Hatfield was third on the team in scoring with 10 points.
“We played a lot better in the second half than the first,” Trinity head coach Emily Hernandez said. “They played better defense and attacked the basket much better in the second half.”
