A free workshop this Friday will feature three local authors whose books focus on emotional well-being, anxiety, and positive decision-making for kids.
The event, hosted by the Green River Area Community Collaboration for Children (CCC) Regional Network, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the GRADD office.
The event is geared toward parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals who work with children and families. It will feature presentations from three local children’s book authors, each offering stories that address emotional well-being, anxiety, and positive decision-making.
Featured authors include:
- Chandler Greenwell, a prevention specialist at the Pennyroyal Center, presenting If You Are Still Feeling Blue, which offers support for children experiencing emotional challenges.
- Amanda Nelson, author of Forest Fran, a story focused on childhood anxiety, and But I WANT To!, which teaches safety, boundaries, and responsible choices.
- Holly Davis, author of Max Sees the Best, an illustrated book about friendship, kindness, and making good decisions.
“This workshop has a great lineup of authors,” said CCC Program Administrator Maria Shyver. “Anyone in the community who interacts with children and families could benefit from these powerful stories and hearing directly from the authors. It’s all about serving our children better.”
A light breakfast and coffee will be provided. The event is funded in full or in part by federal, CHFS, or other state resources.
