The Red Devils scored six runs in the bottom of the first to beat Apollo 7-2. Will Hume went 1-2 with two RBIs, while Brady Benjamin and Blake Kimbrell both drove in runs. Cayden Ray started on the mound, allowing two earned runs over four innings, while Will Rickard threw three shutout innings in relief.
For the Eagles, Gunnar Hendricks went 1-2 with an RBI, while Will Wilkins also drove in a run. Ross Millburn allowed six earned runs over five innings, striking out eight. Garrett Lanham pitched a perfect sixth, striking out two.
Daviess County 11, Madisonville North Hopkins 1
The Panthers scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to mercy rule Madisonville North Hopkins 11-1. Sean Page finished 2-4 with a homer and six RBIs, while Logan Mewes went 3-4. Mason Russelburg went 2-2 with an RBI and Brody Brubaker scored twice. Brodi Tucker threw a complete game, giving up one unearned run over six innings.
