The Owensboro Air Show is bringing back its “Thunderbird Thursdays” fan engagement series, giving the community another opportunity to connect with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds before this year’s event.

The series invites residents to submit questions for the Thunderbirds. Throughout the summer, the Air Show will share videos on its social media channels featuring members of the elite demonstration team answering those questions.

According to Air Show organizers, the initiative proved so popular when it was created in 2023 that the Thunderbirds asked about its return before the start of this year’s air show season, calling it one of the most unique and engaging fan initiatives they have experienced.

The series is intended to build excitement leading up to the Owensboro Air Show while giving the community a chance to interact with one of the world’s premier aerial demonstration teams.

Visit the Owensboro Air Show Facebook page to submit questions.
