Track and Field Region Results

Last week and over the weekend, the cover teams competed in the Track and Field Region Tournaments. Below are the results for each school.

Class 1A Region 2

Hancock County: Hancock County competed in 29 different events, taking first in five of them. Their boys relay team finished 3rd in the 4×800, 4th in the 4×200, and 6th in the 4×400. Their top individual finishes included:

  • Carolina Jones: 1st in 100m hurdles (15.62), 1st in 300m hurdles (47.35), 3rd in high hump (5-0)
  • Isabella Ross: 1st triple jump (33-0),
  • Ellen Meserve: 2nd 400m dash (1:02.78), 5th 200m dash (28.44), 5th long hump (15-2)
  • Wyatt Emmick: 1st 110m hurdles (15.47), 1st 300m hurdles (41.34)
  • Cooper Jones: 3rd 400m dash (51.86), 4th 200m dash (23.31)
  • Emmitt Meserve: 4th 3200m run (11:11.17),
  • Julius Girten: 4th 110m hurdles (17.69)

McLean County:

The Cougars competed in 23 different events, with their girls’ relay finishing 5th in the 4×800 and boys relay placing 10th in both the 4×100 and 4×800. McLean County’s top individual finishes included:

  • Ragan Brown: 8th in shot put (25-2.25), 11th in discus (69-5)
  • Jackson Galloway: 9th in high jump (5-6)
  • Aden Bolden: 10th 100m dash (11.62)

Owensboro Catholic: Owensboro Catholic competed in 28 events, finishing first in four individual events and two relays – the girls’ 4×200 and boys’ 4×100. Owensboro Catholic’s top individual finishes included:

  • Allie Marston: 1st 200m dash (27.43), 2nd 100m dash (13.03),
  • Peyton Reid: 1st 800m run (2:29.17), 1st 1600m run (5:35.97)
  • Aubrey Ezell: 2nd high jump (5-0)
  • Ainsley Sutter: 2nd 3200m run (12:40.61)
  • Caroline Wathen: 1600m run (5:48.95)
  • Scarlett Isenbarger: 3rd 800m run (2:34.61)
  • Isabeth Osborne: 4th 400m dash (1:03.94)
  • Noah O’Nan: 1st high jump (6-0)
  • Xavier Maddox: 2nd 200m dash (23.29)
  • Jude Cecil: 3rd 200m dash (23.30)
  • Joshua James: 3rd triple jump (39-1.5)
  • Cameron Woodward: 4th triple jump (38-6)
  • Michael Lyon: 4th discus (130-0)

Trinity (Whitesville): Trinity (Whitesville) competed in 14 events, with the girls’ 4×200 relay finishing seventh and the boys 4×400 taking 10th. Trinity’s top individual finishes included:

  • Evelyn Roby: 7th triple jump (26-7.5)
  • Olivia Starks: 9th 100m dash (13.90), 9th 200m dash (29.29)
  • Mason Smith: 10th 1600m run (5:22.17

Class 3A Region 1

Apollo: Apollo’s girls relay teams finished fourth in the 4×800, 5th in the 4×400, and 6th in the 4×100, while the boys relay took 4th in the 4×800 and 8th in the 4×800. On the individual side, they finished first in two events. Apollo’s top individual finishes included:

  • Emmitt Brock: 1st 800m run (1:59.24), 1st 1600m run (4:33.84)
  • Noah Gray: 2nd 3200m run (10:05.77)
  • Connor Crabtree: 2nd high jump (6-0)
  • Jamison Franey: 3rd high jump (6-0)
  • Emhadjai Badger: 3rd triple jump (41-1.75)
  • Gabriel Jones: 3rd 100m hurdles (16.91), 4th 300m hurdles (44.43), 5th long jump (20-6.5)
  • Reese Logan: 3rd long jump (15-6.5), 7th 100m dash (13.85)

Daviess County: The Lady Panthers relay team took first in the 4×400 and 4×800 and were top of the podium in four individual events. The Panthers relay finished 2nd in the 4×800 and 3rd in the 4×400. Daviess County’s top individual finishes included:

  • Bentlei Stallings: 1st 400m dash (1:00.06)
  • Lucy Spaw: 1st 800m run (2:21.92)
  • Mallory Raines: 1600m run (5:40.08)
  • Rebekah Moran: 1st long jump (15-10.25), 2nd 100m hurdles (17.14)
  • Bella Coombs: 2nd 800m run (2:29.56)
  • Haley Wolfe: 2nd 3200m run (12:16.04)
  • Anna King: 2nd 300m hurdles (48.76)
  • Ellie Girten: 2nd high jump (4-8), 4th 400m dash (1:03.65)
  • Kloee Gaynor: 3rd 1600m run (5:45.35)
  • Logan Higdon: 2nd 400m dash (50.54)
  • Ryder Williams: 2nd triple jump (41-2.5), 4th long jump (20-7.25)
  • Lucca Neeves: 3rd 3200m run (10:22.42), 3rd 1600m run (4:40.55)
  • Nikolas Hodskins: 3rd 800m run (2:01.31)

Owensboro: The Lady Devils relay team finished first in the 4×100, 2nd in the 4×200, and 3rd in the 4×400 and 4×800, while the boys relay was 4th in the 4×400 and 5th in the 4×800.Owensboro’s top individual finishes included:

Nakiyah Voyles: 1st high jump (4-10) 2nd 200m dash (26.91)

Kiora Duncan: 2nd 100m dash (13.45)

Olivia Hogg: 3rd shot put (30-9)

Lilah Stanley: 300m hurdles (50.34)

Khalil Shemwell: 5th 100m dash (11.42)

Ayden Fountain: 5th 110m hurdles (17.68)

Ace Skimehorn: 6th pole vault (10-0)

Kameryis Cline: 800m run (2:08.46)
