The Lanham Brothers Jamboree is back for its 19th year, bringing an evening of music, dancing, and homegrown entertainment to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum on August 16
Hosted by Randy and Barry Lanham, the variety show features a blend of bluegrass, country, gospel, clogging, comedy, and crowd interaction. The upcoming performance, set to begin at 7 p.m., will be filmed for Kentucky Educational Television (KET).
“We’re always excited to put on a show that celebrates Kentucky talent and gives folks something fun to look forward to,” Barry Lanham said. “It’s never just about Randy and me — it’s about giving performers a platform to share their art and connect with the community.”
The August lineup includes returning favorites and fresh faces:
- Laura Briner, making her first appearance at the Hall of Fame
- Jeff Hardesty, a frequent collaborator with the Lanhams
- The Blue Bridge Boys, fan favorites known for their comedy and skits
- Leland Isbill, returning from the Jamboree’s earlier days
- Allison Hoover, a talented guitarist, singer and clogger
- The Footstompin’ Express Cloggers, who bring high energy to every performance
“Each performer brings something different, and we love mixing it up every show,” Lanham said. “We also keep things spontaneous — even though we have a set list, there’s always something unexpected.”
The Jamboree runs three times a year with spring, summer, and Christmas editions, drawing strong crowds and community support. This summer’s show is sponsored by Winsupply of Owensboro.
“It’s the audience, the sponsors, and the performers that keep us going,” Lanham said. “We have people asking when the next show is as soon as one ends. That means a lot.”
