Daviess County beat Hancock County in a 3rd Region match, while Apollo beat Ohio County. In other action, McLean County dropped a close one to Webster County, while Owensboro won on the road.

Avery Gray had 15 kills, 12 digs, and one block, while Maddi Robberts recorded a team high 21 assists to go with seven digs to fuel the E-Gals past Ohio County 3-0 (15-14, 25-10, 25-19). Jessie Pate recorded 13 digs and two service aces, while Keelan Wettstain finished with five kills, four digs, three service aces, and two blocks. For Head Coach Mary Howard this marked her 300th career win.
“This was another good win for us,” Howard said. “Our defense was very scrappy tonight and passing off serve receive looked very sharp. The girls did a great job of playing with high energy throughout every set, and I am very proud of the all-around effort tonight.”

Maya Pollard and Reese Whiteside combined for 19 kills to lead the Lady Panthers past the Lady Hornets 3-0 (25-9, 25-23, 25-11). Lexi Jones, Jenna Lawson, and Jazzlynn Howard led the team in digs, assists, and service aces with nine, 17, and five, respectively.
Webster County 3, McLean County 0
Abbi Shivers recorded 13 digs, one kill, and one service ace in the Lady Cougars 3-0 (9-25, 18-25, 23-25) loss to Webster County. Amelia Aull added five assists, one kill, and one block, while Annie Shelton had 11 digs, six kills, three service aces, and one block.
“The girls played an excellent game,” McLean County Head Coach Traci Caps said. “Unfortunately, we didn’t take home the win, but we improved every set we played.”
Owensboro 3, Muhlenberg County 0
Ayrish Barksdale recorded 11 digs, and a service ace, and Anna Travis recorded a team high 19 assists and added 13 digs and two blocks to help power Owensboro past Muhlenberg County 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-17). Carsyn Cecil added five kills, three service aces, and one block, Zoe Carter had five kills, June Larsen had a team-high 18 digs with six assists, and Georgia Gabbert finished with four blocks. Bryanna had seven digs, five kills, and one service ace, while Paisley Martin had three service aces.
“We played hard tonight. This week we have worked on our serving and service receiving, and tonight it paid off with 13 aces,” Owensboro head coach Mitchell Johnson said. “Muhlenberg County put up a great fight and pushed our girls hard. It was the first official game, and we are still figuring out a lineup, but if we can keep this attitude and effort up, I’m excited to see what this season has in store.”
