Andrew Bailey scored twice, and Landon Danner and Jaxyn Randall both added goals to power the Aces past Butler County 4-0 on Saturday. The game was stopped just 12 minutes into the second half due to a swarm of insects near one of the goals, but it is considered complete and therefore won’t be rescheduled or completed. Owen Brey recorded two assists, while JW Kurtz and Bailey both had one. Max Dawson and Jace Obermeier both split time in net.
“Although it was shortened to 12 minutes, our second half in particular was very good,” Owensboro Catholic Head Coach Andy Donohoe said. “We played well against a very energetic and determined team. We showed our quality in a number of spells at the beginning and end of the first half and took control in the second half.”
