Sasha Foster scored the lone goal of the game and Kaelin Labhart recorded three saves in net to power the Lady Panthers to a 1-0 shutout win over Henderson County.

“I thought offensively we moved really well tonight,” Daviess County Head Coach Paige Crisp said. “We put a lot of pressure on their back line and attacked with more numbers than we have been. Hadley Morris and Bella Coombs really stepped up and got involved in our attack. We just have to keep working on our final ball in the offensive third and finishing the opportunities we get.”

Amelia Calhoun recorded a hat trick and had an assist in the Lady Devils’ 7-1 win over McLean County. Adalyn Selby scored twice and had an assist, while Nehema Mujinga and Hayley Sikes both found the back of the net. Ella Hall had three assists, while Lily Nieman had one. Drew Kurz finished with three saves in net.

“We were down a few players tonight, so we had players in different positions,” Owensboro Head Coach Sarah Poole said. “We were a bit tired again, but came alive in the second half. It has been a full two weeks of games, and the girls were able to push through and finish strong.”

For the Lady Cougars, Landry Humphrey found Lily Miller on a direct kick, who fed Hannah Smith for the teams lone goal.

“I felt like we started to run out of steam in the second half after they scored another goal,” McLean County Head Coach Ricky Humphrey said. “We will continue to work on not giving up once we are down and continuing to improve what we have been doing.”
