The Owensboro Fire Department is inviting the community to help create its next official patch, opening a design contest to artists of all ages.
The winning design will be worn by firefighters and become a symbol of the department for years to come. Entries must include the words “Owensboro Fire Dept.” and cannot feature firearms, tobacco, or alcohol imagery.
The deadline to submit designs is November 7. Templates and entry forms are available at Owensboro.org/patch, where submissions can also be entered. The winner will receive special recognition for their work.
“This patch will be more than just a design – it will represent our entire community,” said Chief James Howard. “We’re excited to see Owensboro’s creativity shine.”
