Traveling to Geroge Rogers Clark, Apollo’s run in the State Tournament has come to an end, falling in the quarterfinals to North Oldham 3-0 (20-25, 15-25, 22-25).
Jessie Pate finished with a team-high 15 digs and was also named to the All-State Team. Avery Gray recorded 12 kills, six digs, and two service aces, and Keelan Wettstain added four kills, three digs, and two service aces. Jessica Lee and Maddi Roberts each posted nine assists, and Lyla Fortener added 10 digs.
“I was super proud of our girls battling to the very last point today against a very big and talented North Oldham team who has two Division I recruits,” Apollo Head Coach Mary Howard said. “We are a very young team this year and the future looks bright for this group.”
