The Owensboro Convention Center is inviting the community to lace up their skates and enjoy some festive outdoor fun as Energy On Ice returns for another season, starting tonight.
The 80-by-60-foot synthetic ice rink will be set up on the Kentucky Legend Pier behind the Convention Center, and will be open on select weekends throughout December. Sponsored by Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Atmos Energy, Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, and the Staton Family Foundation, the rink offers a unique and family-friendly way to celebrate the holidays.
Skating will be available on the following dates:
- Saturday, Nov. 29
- Friday-Saturday, Dec. 5-6
- Friday-Saturday, Dec. 12-13
- Friday-Saturday, Dec. 19-20
- Friday-Saturday, Dec. 26-27
Hours of operation are Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 4 to 9 p.m.
Admission is $5 per person, which includes skate rental. Groups of eight or more can receive a discounted rate of $4 per person. Tickets will be available for purchase on-site.
