Twelve downtown businesses are joining forces this Saturday for a Holiday Stroll Pub Crawl, offering visitors a festive way to enjoy local food and drinks while competing for prize giveaways.

Participants can pick up an entry card at any of the 12 participating locations, collect four signatures from different stops, and return the card to be entered into the giveaway drawing. Each location will have cards available, and guests are encouraged to visit as many as they’d like.

The event is part of the broader Downtown Holiday Stroll and coincides with the Gnome Scavenger Hunt and other holiday attractions.

Participating locations for the pub crawl include:

  • Lure Seafood and Grille
  • The Brew Bridge
  • The Pub on Second
  • SIP Owensboro
  • Don Mario
  • The Creme Coffee House
  • Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville
  • Goodwood Brewing Owensboro
  • Fetta Specialty Pizza
  • Mellow Mushroom
  • The Famous Bistro
  • Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar

“This is the most participants we’ve ever had in the pub crawl, so we’re hoping for a great turnout,” said Ben Skiadis, owner of Lure Seafood and Grille. “It’s always great to see people of all ages shopping and drinking and hunting for gnomes. I have the pleasure of seeing all the photos that are turned in for the gnome hunt each year, and it’s always entertaining to see how people get creative taking their pics.”

Business owners say the event is a great opportunity to welcome new customers and spread some holiday cheer.

“We look forward to welcoming customers downtown as they shop for gifts and gift cards for their loved ones, spend time soaking in the holiday spirit and festive decorations, as well as enjoying a delicious lunch or dinner while they’re here,” said Orallis Radilla with Don Mario.

Alan Lawrence with Big Whiskey’s said the event is also a way to reach people who may not have visited their restaurant before.

“We are looking forward to meeting new people who haven’t had a chance to visit us yet and also seeing everyone enjoying the gnome hunt,” Lawrence said.

Holiday Stroll activities, including the pub crawl, are scheduled for Saturday only. Hours of operation may vary by business. Visitors are encouraged to check with individual locations for full details.
