A festive holiday tradition is underway as WinSupply of Owensboro hosts its third annual Christmas tree silent auction to benefit My Sister’s Keeper, a local homeless shelter for women and children.

The final day of the auction will be celebrated with a Christmas event on December 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at WinSupply, 2110 Grimes Avenue. Guests are invited to view the trees, enjoy live cooking from Chef Anthony— who will be preparing Bananas Foster Flambé — and place final bids before the auction closes at 1 p.m. Winners will be announced immediately afterward.

“We have customers and vendors who decorate the trees and add value with gift cards and items,” said Leo Payne of WinSupply. “It’s open for bids now through the 17th, and every dollar raised goes directly to My Sister’s Keeper.”

The silent auction features dozens of decorated trees, each uniquely themed and donated by local partners. One standout entry includes more than $10,000 worth of gift cards to area businesses, making it a major draw for bidders. Payne noted that the high-value tree includes contributions from businesses like Steinkamp Home Center, with gift cards that would be especially valuable for someone building or furnishing a home.

“Our goal this year is to raise $20,000,” Payne said. “It’s all about giving back, and this is a fun way for people to get involved and support an important cause in our community.”

To add to the excitement, everyone who places a bid will be entered into a giveaway drawing for a fire pit or a 20-quart cooler.

Photos and videos of the trees have been shared on the WinSupply Owensboro Facebook page, and attendees are encouraged to stop by, enjoy the food and holiday cheer, and support the mission of My Sister’s Keeper.

“This is about community, and we’re proud to be a part of something that makes a difference,” he said.
