In 2024, while riding his dirtbike during training, Clarkson Hagan suffered an elbow injury, leading him and his family to contemplate what was next in his racing career. They decided to transition to Micro Sprint racing, which he started in November of that year.
Fast forward to now, and Hagan just signed with Lee Faulk Racing and Development for the 2026 racing season.
“I am really excited, and I was kind of in shock when they first asked me to race for them,” Hagan said. “I went down and tested, did the fun stuff, came back, and they asked us to race for them.”
Hagan and his family spoke with a recruiter, JR Longley, and eventually travelled to North Carolina to test for the team. Impressed by Hagan, father and son owners Lee and Mike Faulk offered him a 20-race deal for the 2026 season, but Clarkson and his family agreed on 12 races instead.
Hagan will begin testing at the end of February, and his first race is set for March 7th at Hickory Speedway in North Carolina.
Hagan acknowledged that the transition from Motocross to Micro Sprints was tough in the beginning, but he was able to adjust quickly due to his reaction time. Micro Sprint racing is on a dirt track, and it has been another transition for Hagan getting used to asphalt for the upcoming season with Lee Faulk Racing and Development.
“The guys are pretty cool, and I like them a lot,” Hagan said. “They can get me through there without a crew chief. I am really excited, and I can’t thank Lee and Mike enough for letting me come out and drive for them.”
