Owensboro will soon welcome a newly branded indoor entertainment venue as the Hatton family announced Tuesday that its upcoming family fun center will operate under a new name: Maui’s Indoor Theme Park.

The rebrand is part of a broader brand evolution taking place across select Malibu Jack’s locations, signaling a shift toward more immersive, resort-style indoor entertainment. The Owensboro facility will serve as the flagship for the new Maui’s brand and will be the largest indoor theme park the Hatton family has developed to date.

Phase One of the Owensboro park will include many of the rides, games, and attractions familiar to Malibu Jack’s visitors. Future phases will introduce new attractions, expanded entertainment experiences, and dining concepts designed to change and grow over time, giving guests new reasons to return.

“Maui’s represents where we’re going as a family and as an entertainment company,” said Steve Hatton.
“Owensboro gives us the opportunity to build our biggest, boldest vision yet — one that starts strong and continues to grow with new experiences, attractions, and dining options over time.”

The Hatton family said the new name reflects a vibrant, resort-style atmosphere while keeping the family-friendly accessibility that has defined its entertainment centers for more than a decade.

Additional announcements regarding opening dates, attraction details, and expansion timelines are expected in the coming weeks.

The Hatton family founded Malibu Jack’s in 2013 in Lexington. The company now operates 10 indoor theme park locations, each featuring more than 100,000 square feet of family attractions and event space for birthdays, field trips, and corporate gatherings.
