A tribute concert built around the music of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones is coming to Owensboro this spring. The all-ages performance features tribute acts recreating the sound, appearance, and onstage style of both bands in a head-to-head concert format.
“Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown” is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on May 21 at RiverPark Center.
According to event organizers, the touring production centers on the long-running debate over which group had the greater impact on rock music. The show presents songs from both catalogs with period-inspired costumes, instruments, and staged banter between performers portraying members of each band.
Promotional materials describe the production as designed for both casual listeners and longtime fans, with attention to musical detail and live performance elements associated with each group’s original recordings and concerts.
