Impact100 Owensboro is now accepting new members as it begins its annual grant cycle, continuing a two-decade mission of collective giving to support local nonprofits.

Impact100 Owensboro is a women’s giving organization that pools member donations and awards them as large-scale grants to nonprofits serving the Owensboro area. Full members contribute $1,000 annually, while half memberships are available at $500. Payment plans and scholarship opportunities are also offered to help make participation accessible.

All membership contributions are directed entirely to the organization’s annual grants.

Each spring, local nonprofits submit grant applications that are reviewed and vetted by Impact100 members. Finalists are announced in late summer, and grant recipients are revealed during the organization’s annual meeting, typically held at the end of September. Grants are awarded across five focus areas: arts and culture; education; family; health and wellness; and environment and recreation.

The organization marked its 20th year in Owensboro last year. Over that time, Impact100 Owensboro has awarded more than $4.7 million to 41 local nonprofits. In 2025 alone, the group distributed $343,200 in grants.

Membership is open now through April 15. The organization will announce the total amount raised for this year’s grants on April 23.

Impact100 Owensboro is open to any woman in the Owensboro area who is interested in supporting local nonprofits. Membership does not require an invitation, and there are no participation requirements beyond the annual contribution.

Members can choose their level of involvement each year, ranging from simply making a donation to attending events or serving on focus groups that conduct in-depth reviews of grant applications.

In addition to its main membership, Impact100 Owensboro also operates a NextGen program for young women from eighth grade through high school. Participants contribute $100 annually and follow a similar grantmaking model, providing early exposure to philanthropy, community service, and local nonprofit work while connecting students from different schools.

The organization will host additional social and recruitment events leading up to the April 15 membership deadline.

More information about membership, events, and the organization’s history is available by following Impact100 Owensboro on Facebook or visiting www.impact100owensboro.org.
