THURSDAY’S ACTION:
• DCHS sweeps Muhlenberg County at home
• E-Gals top Henderson County in rematch
• Lady Devils fall to defending champ Breckinridge County
• Trinity tops Frederick Fraize on road


DCHS SWEEPS MUHLENBERG COUNTY AT HOME
Daviess County (10-5) won their fourth match in a row with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-8, 25-19) home victory over 3rd Region foe Muhlenberg County (5-9).

The Lady Panthers were led by Hannah Axley (14 assists, 4 digs), Ryann Keller (18 assists, 4 digs), Jasmine Beasley (6 kills, 4 blocks, 3 digs), Elizabeth Moore (8 kills, 6 digs) and Kloee Phelps (15 digs, 4 kills).

Other contributions came from Kinsley Phelps (3 kills, 2 aces), Ashton Johnson (12 kills, 2 digs), Kendal Goetz (9 digs), Delaney Evans (5 digs), Chea Bowers (5 digs) and Kayla Clark (3 digs).

Daviess County is back in action Tuesday at Owensboro Catholic.

E-GALS TOP HENDERSON COUNTY IN REMATCH
Two weeks after losing to Henderson County in the Apollo Summer Slam, the E-Gals (8-2) got revenge with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-13) home victory over the Lady Colonels (7-7).

Apollo’s effort was led by Anslee Hopewell (14 assists, 7 kills), Hallie WIlson (13 digs), Caroline Flake (21 service points, 6 aces), Whitley Chambers (9 kills) and Aliyah Carwile (7 kills).

The E-Gals play again Tuesday when they host Owensboro.


OHS FALLS TO DEFENDING CHAMP LADY TIGERS
Owensboro (3-11) had a tough night against defending 3rd Region champion Breckinridge County (11-0), falling 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-5) on the road.

The Lady Devils were led by Lainey Hayden (5 blocks, 2 kills), Krystell Pappas (9 digs, 2 assists), Mykael Winstead (8 digs, 2 kills, 2 blocks), Jersie Rhineburger (8 digs), Brooklyn Williams (3 kills, 2 blocks) and Audretta Tyler (6 digs).

Owensboro is back in action Tuesday at Apollo.


TRINITY TOPS FREDERICK FRAIZE ON ROAD
The Lady Raiders (4-6) earned a 2-0 (25-21, 25-16) road victory over 3rd Region opponent Frederick Fraize (1-5). Individual stats were not available.

Trinity is schedule to play McLean County on Saturday in the 3rd Region All “A” Classic.
