The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight will bring its internationally touring production to Owensboro later this year, blending classical instrumentation with iconic rock and metal music in a candlelit setting.
The group is scheduled to perform at RiverPark Center on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. as part of its latest U.S. tour. The show features a 90-minute performance by a rotating collective of 14 classical musicians, combining orchestral arrangements with elements of rock and metal.
According to organizers, the performance reimagines songs from bands such as Metallica, AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Guns N’ Roses, Evanescence, Aerosmith, and The Cranberries.
The production has drawn more than 700,000 attendees worldwide and is known for its candlelit atmosphere and fusion of genres.
Tickets will go on sale April 10 at 10 a.m. and will be available through the RiverPark Center box office and Ticketmaster. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Officials note the performance is not affiliated with the original artists or composers. The show may also include strobe lighting effects, and those sensitive to flashing lights are advised to take precautions.
