Hosting St. Mary’s, Daviess County’s girls’ tennis team overcame an early deficit and won 6-3. Jenna Faulkner (8-3), Ellie Dever (8-4), Claire Dunlay (8-3), and Lyla Grace Hall (8-2) all won their singles matches, while the doubles teams of Faulkner and Emmie Kate Williams (8-3) and Dunlay and Hall (8-3) emerged victorious.
“They had a strong lineup, but our girls played very well and pulled it off,” Daviess County Head Coach Dylan McDuffee said. “Jenna earned a great win as the number two, and Ellie as the number three. I hope to carry this momentum into Tuesday against Apollo.”
