The Red Devils rode a five-run second inning past McLean County, and Trinity (Whitesville) beat Hopkins County Central on the road.

Owensboro 11, McLean County 5

The Red Devils’ offense exploded for five runs in the bottom of the third behind Ty Ashley’s three-run homer as Owensboro beat McLean County 11-5. Ashley finished 2-3 with three RBIs, Jaxson Fogle went 3-4 with three RBIs, and Dax Garrison went 2-2 with three RBIs. On the mound, Ashley allowed one run over three innings, while Fogle and Nash Miller both pitched in relief.

For the Cougars, Corbin Martin went 2-3 with a triple and two RBIs, Jayden Taylor finished 2-3 with an RBI, and Brooks Lynam went 2-4. Layden Bozarth started on the mound, allowing five earned runs over three innings, while Taylor and Will Gatton both pitched in relief.

Trinity (Whitessville) 7, Hopkins County Central 5

The Raiders scored three runs in the top of the fifth as they beat Hopkins County Central 7-5. Kayin Howard went 1-4 with two RBIs, Keaton Abbott, Wade Burch, and Grant Howard all drove in runs, and Cale Boarman went 2-4. Howard started on the mound, allowing two earned runs over five innings, and RJ Cecil pitched two innings in relief.
