The Senior Community Center of Owensboro-Daviess County will host its annual Older Americans Month celebration on May 29, featuring a full day of activities focused on wellness, community connection, and honoring local seniors.

The event is open to current clients, volunteers, family members, and community members age 60 and older. It will be held at the current facility at 1650 West Second Street.

Activities throughout the day will include a local health fair with wellness resources, lunch, special recognitions for seniors, live music, and dancing.

Organizers said the event is designed to give seniors an opportunity to stay active, connect with others, and learn more about services and resources available in the community.

“At the Senior Community Center, we believe in creating a place where seniors can stay active, build friendships, and focus on their overall well-being,” said Executive Director Dr. David Tucker. “Events like this remind us how strong and vibrant our community truly is.”

The center encouraged community members to share the invitation with others who may enjoy attending.
