Owensboro Police Department arrested 25-year-old Jarel L. Thruston, of Owensboro, in connection to 26 acts of vandalism.

According to a news release, OPD arrested Thruston on Friday and charged him with three counts of first-degree criminal mischief.

OPD Public Information Officer Andy Boggess said the 26 spray paintings were all the same word, but investigators are unsure of the meaning. Boggess said the vandalism was widespread, ranging from Bar Louie to the Owensboro Fire Department training center.

Boggess said the 26 acts were combined into three counts for each night the vandalism occurred.
