HomeGoods, a home décor retailer, will open its first Owensboro location on June 25 in Gateway Commons.

The new store is located at 2450 Calumet Trace and will celebrate its grand opening from 8-10 a.m. June 25.

HomeGoods, a division of The TJX Companies, offers a selection of home furnishings and décor at discounted prices, with merchandise ranging from furniture and rugs to kitchenware, bedding, pet accessories, outdoor living items, and seasonal décor.

Company officials said shoppers can expect a “treasure hunt” experience with new merchandise arriving regularly from brands and designers around the world.

“Our amazing values, brand names, and vast assortment make HomeGoods an exciting destination for shoppers,” HomeGoods President John Ricciuti said. “With a large variety of merchandise from around the world, customers will always find thrilling values in our treasure hunt shopping experience. We are happy to provide Owensboro with a new HomeGoods.”

The approximately 24,700-square-foot store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Company officials noted store hours may change.

As part of the grand opening, HomeGoods will present a $10,000 donation to a local charity through its Find Home Anywhere initiative. Throughout the year, HomeGoods stores also raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to support programs that provide a “home away from home” for patients and their families during treatment.

HomeGoods operates more than 960 stores nationwide and is part of The TJX Companies, which operates more than 5,200 stores across 10 countries under brands including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Homesense, and Sierra.
