On Monday, the GO Junior Golf Series held the Owensboro Series Championship at the Owensboro Country Club. For the boys and girls 8-under age group, Owensboro’s Hawk Roberts (12) and Finley Fogle (23) both won. Roberts finished as Tour Champion, while Fogle finished runner-up to Slaughters’ Stella Johnston.
In the boys and girls 9-10 age group, Madisonville’s Jaxson Crook (27) and Hardinsburg’s Adley Cox (28) both won. Crook was the boys’ Tour Champion, while Cox finished runner-up to Hardinsburg’s Mavis Shrewsberry.
In the boys and girls 11-12 age group, Madisonville’s Scott Ralston (36) won, being named the first flight winner. Madisonville’s Bennett Neighbors (44) finished as the boys Tour Champion, while Owensboro’s Vivian Henning (39) was Tour Champion for the girls.
In the 9-hole division, Owensboro’s Ian Futrell (47) won for the boys 13-15 age group, finishing as first-flight winner, while Beaver Dam’s Jaymeson Phillips was the girls’ Tour Champion.
In the 18-hole division, Manitou’s Jaxon Vincent (81) won, while Philpot’s Mason Shively was named Tour Champion for the boys 13-15 age group. For the girls, Owensboro’s Briley Billingsley (82) was victorious, while fellow Owensboro native Ayla Roberts finished as Tour Champion.
In the 16-18 age group, Owensboro’s Kyle Fulkerson shot a 75 to win, while Beaver Dam’s Bowen Coots was named Tour Champion for the boys. Hazel’s Bailee Lucas (83) was victorious, while Hardinsburg’s Ellington Cox won the girls’ Tour Championship.
