Sports card collectors, trading card game enthusiasts, and hobbyists from across the Midwest will converge on Owensboro next month for the inaugural Boundless Cards Expo, a three-day event featuring more than 120 vendor tables and a variety of family-friendly activities.
The expo is scheduled for Aug. 28-30 at the Owensboro Convention Center. Admission and parking are free.
Organizers say the event is designed for both longtime collectors and newcomers, with vendors offering sports cards, Pokémon and anime collectibles, memorabilia, trading card games and other hobby-related items. Attendees will also have opportunities to buy, sell and trade collectibles throughout the weekend.
The event is partnering with Kentucky Roadshow, also known as Roadshow Cards, to provide sports memorabilia displays, giveaways and interactive experiences.
“Growing the hobby across my home state, well beyond the borders of Lexington, is a dream,” said Jimmy Mahan, founder and owner of Roadshow Cards. “The Boundless Cards Expo in Owensboro provides us a way to do exactly that to tons of young and old fans of collecting. There is nothing I would rather be a part of here in the Bluegrass. We are thrilled to join in and inspire the next generation of collectors across this state.”
The weekend begins with a Trade Night from 6-9 p.m. on Aug. 28. The main show will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Aug. 29 and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Aug. 30.
In addition to vendor booths, organizers say visitors can expect exclusive giveaways, sports cards from every era, and entertainment geared toward all ages.
