Friends of Sinners, a Christ-centered recovery program, gave away a truckload of chicken Tuesday.
Friends of Sinners made a Facebook post Tuesday morning stating they were going to give away a U-Haul full of chicken to anyone in need. The post had more than 100 shares and an estimated 300 people showed up to receive the free food.
Cars were lined down Clay Street, where the Friends of Sinners facility is located, and the U-Haul was emptied in one hour.
Jordan Wilson, Friends of Sinners Development Director, said the members of the community were excited to receive such a blessing.
