Though the Owensboro National Day of Prayer will still hold its annual event on May 7, this year they are going virtual due to safety precautions for COVID-19.
Rather than a few hundred people gathering at the Daviess County Courthouse that day, the ONDP event will broadcast live on Facebook. While they won’t be able to join together in person, having the event virtually also means they are no longer confined to a geographical area.
Each person singing, praying, leading in worship or giving testimony are all from Kentucky, but no longer just from the Owensboro-Daviess County area. Each individual involved will pre-record what they are doing, and the footage will be compiled into one video that can be seen on their Facebook page here.
