Six additional cases of COVID-19 and four more recoveries were reported Sunday morning for Daviess County.
Of the 425 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 197 (46%) have now recovered and 49 (12%) have required hospitalization. There are 21 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been six deaths — four in Daviess County and one each in McLean and Henderson counties.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 228 cases, 105 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- Hancock County – 6 cases, 5 recovered
- Henderson County – 72 cases, 38 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 16 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- McLean County – 17 cases, 6 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 2 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 67 cases, 20 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 8 cases, 5 recovered
- Webster County – 27 cases, 18 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 44. To date, 54.8% of patients have been male and 45.2% have been female. Cases by age range are:
- <1 — 1 case
- 1-11 — 6 cases
- 12-19 — 17 cases
- 20-29 — 75 cases
- 30-39 — 88 cases
- 40-49 — 91 cases
- 50-59 — 69 cases
- 60-69 — 46 cases
- 70-79 — 17 cases
- 80+ — 15 cases
Cases are expected to continue to rise as testing capacity increases in the area and across the state. The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
