The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred Friday morning and involved a juvenile victim.
According to a release, at approximately 9:05 a.m. OPD was notified by the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital when the victim arrived with a gunshot wound to the hip. His injuries appear to be non-life-threatening and detectives are still attempting to determine where the incident occurred.
The juvenile’s immediate family has been notified of his injury and are aware of the investigation, according to the release.
