A total of 15 more cases of COVID-19 and 20 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Saturday for the Green River District.
New cases were in Daviess (6), Henderson (4), McLean (2) and Ohio (3) counties.
Recoveries were in Daviess (8), Henderson (5), McLean (1), Ohio (4), Union (1) and Webster (1) counties.
Of the 1,827 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 1,559 (85%) have now recovered and 162 (9%) have required hospitalization. There are 13 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 23 deaths — Daviess County (8), Ohio County (9), Henderson County (4), McLean County (1), and Webster County (1).
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 819 cases, 701 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 68 ever hospitalized, 8 deaths
- Hancock County – 48 cases, 43 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 371 cases, 300 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 40 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 51 cases, 42 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 375 cases, 335 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 27 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
- Union County – 70 cases, 57 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 4 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 93 cases, 81 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 13 ever hospitalized, 1 death
Patients range in age from 7 months-95 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 49% of patients have been male and 51% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 5 cases
- 1-11 — 49 cases
- 12-19 — 126 cases
- 20-29 — 359 cases
- 30-39 — 343 cases
- 40-49 — 325 cases
- 50-59 — 257 cases
- 60-69 — 189 cases
- 70-79 — 105 cases
- 80+ — 64 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
