COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 23 cases, 32 recoveries reported for district

A total of 23 more cases of COVID-19 and 32 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District. Two deaths were also reported — one each in Daviess and Webster counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (7), Henderson (2), Union (5), Webster (9)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (16), Henderson (8), McLean (2), Ohio (3), Union (1), Webster (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 2,032
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 1,729 (85%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 16
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 176 (9%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 26

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 928 cases, 788 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 75 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Hancock County – 50 cases, 46 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 413 cases, 343 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 54 cases, 48 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 394 cases, 348 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 84 cases, 65 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized
  • Webster County – 109 cases, 91 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 14 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 7 months-95 years old
  • Average age: 42
  • Male: 48.9%
  • Female: 51.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 5 cases
  • 1-11 — 57 cases
  • 12-19 — 157 cases
  • 20-29 — 393 cases
  • 30-39 — 370 cases
  • 40-49 — 363 cases
  • 50-59 — 274 cases
  • 60-69 — 221 cases
  • 70-79 — 123 cases
  • 80+ — 65 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
