A total of 140 more cases of COVID-19 — a new single-day high — were confirmed Saturday for the Green River District. This week the Green River District has seen the largest number of cases in a single week since the beginning of the pandemic with 450.
A total of 42 new recoveries was also reported.
As reported by Green River District Health Department:
- New cases by county: Daviess (34), Hancock (2), Henderson (82), McLean (3), Ohio (4), Union (13), Webster (2)
- New recoveries by county: Daviess (15), Hancock (1), Henderson (12), Ohio (5), Union (9)
- Total number of reported cases in the district: 3,599
- Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,846 (82%)
- Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 48
- Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 272 (8%)
- Total number of deaths in the district: 37
The county totals to date are:
- Daviess County – 1,471 cases, 1,231 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 105 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
- Hancock County – 83 cases, 69 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 7 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 887 cases, 626 recovered, 17 current hospitalizations, 69 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths
- McLean County – 93 cases, 75 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 9 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 491 cases, 434 recovered, 2 current hospitalization, 32 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
- Union County – 370 cases, 273 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 30 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
- Webster County – 204 cases, 138 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- Age range: 2 months-100 years old
- Average age: 44
- Male: 45.9%
- Female: 54.1%

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
