COVID-19 update: 1 death, 60 cases, 46 recoveries reported for district

A total of 60 more cases of COVID-19 and 46 new recoveries were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District. One coronavirus-related deaths were also reported for Henderson County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (25), Hancock (2), Henderson (21), McLean (2), Ohio (5), Union (4), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (11), Henderson (14), McLean (2), Union (15), Webster (4)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 3,816
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,983 (76%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 27
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 285 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 46

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,573 cases, 1,277 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 108 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths
  • Hancock County – 90 cases, 70 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 951 cases, 665 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 74 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • McLean County – 96 cases, 78 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 10 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 506 cases, 441 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 387 cases, 305 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 31 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Webster County – 213 cases, 147 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 20 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 45.7%
  • Female: 54.3%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 10 cases
  • 1-11 — 112 cases
  • 12-19 — 318 cases
  • 20-29 — 658 cases
  • 30-39 — 615 cases
  • 40-49 — 589 cases
  • 50-59 — 520 cases
  • 60-69 — 469 cases
  • 70-79 — 304 cases
  • 80+ — 217 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
