COVID-19 update: 82 cases, 70 recoveries reported for district

A total of 82 more cases of COVID-19 and 70 new recoveries were confirmed Thursday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (26), Hancock (1), Henderson (27), McLean (4), Ohio (12), Union (8), Webster (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (30), Henderson (20), McLean (2), Ohio (2), Union (11), Webster (5)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 3,898
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 3,053 (78%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 26
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 287 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 46

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,599 cases, 1,307 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 109 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths
  • Hancock County – 91 cases, 70 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 978 cases, 685 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 74 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • McLean County – 100 cases, 80 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 11 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 518 cases, 443 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 395 cases, 316 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 31 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Webster County – 217 cases, 152 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 20 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 45.7%
  • Female: 54.3%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 11 cases
  • 1-11 — 116 cases
  • 12-19 — 321 cases
  • 20-29 — 672 cases
  • 30-39 — 629 cases
  • 40-49 — 601 cases
  • 50-59 — 529 cases
  • 60-69 — 482 cases
  • 70-79 — 312 cases
  • 80+ — 222 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
