COVID-19 update: 1 death, 98 cases, 44 recoveries reported for district

A total of 98 more cases of COVID-19 and 44 recoveries were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District. A coronavirus-related death was also reported in Ohio County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (41), Hancock (2), Henderson (28), McLean (3), Ohio (6), Union (4), Webster (14)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (17), Henderson (14), McLean (8), Ohio (3), Union (1), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 5,467
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,500 (82%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 33
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 387 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 97

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,120 cases, 1,795 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 145 ever hospitalized, 32 deaths
  • Hancock County – 162 cases, 106 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 9 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,410 cases, 1,128 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 106 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 234 cases, 166 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • Ohio County – 658 cases, 562 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Union County – 530 cases, 470 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 353 cases, 273 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 25 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45%
  • Female: 55%

  • <1 — 21 cases
  • 1-11 — 157 cases
  • 12-19 — 434 cases
  • 20-29 — 945 cases
  • 30-39 — 841 cases
  • 40-49 — 842 cases
  • 50-59 — 764 cases
  • 60-69 — 683 cases
  • 70-79 — 459 cases
  • 80+ — 317 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
