COVID-19 update: 139 cases, 79 recoveries reported for district

A total of 139 more cases of COVID-19 and 79 recoveries were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (64), Hancock (17), Henderson (22), McLean (5), Ohio (11), Union (5), Webster (15)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (29), Hancock (3), Henderson (19), McLean (19), Ohio (3), Union (3), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 6,228
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,939 (79%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 35
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 415 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 107

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,453 cases, 1,964 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 152 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Hancock County – 199 cases, 137 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 11 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,591 cases, 1,235 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 115 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 280 cases, 202 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Ohio County – 726 cases, 598 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Union County – 576 cases, 494 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 36 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 403 cases, 309 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 27 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 22 cases
  • 1-11 — 186 cases
  • 12-19 — 502 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,046 cases
  • 30-39 — 960 cases
  • 40-49 — 966 cases
  • 50-59 — 880 cases
  • 60-69 — 782 cases
  • 70-79 — 508 cases
  • 80+ — 371 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
