COVID-19 update: 9 deaths, 175 cases, 192 recoveries reported for district

A total of 175 more cases of COVID-19 and 192 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 105 cases and 80 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (5), Henderson (1), McLean (2) and Ohio (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (105), Hancock (3), Henderson (18), McLean (4), Ohio (32), Union (10), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (80), Hancock (9), Henderson (37), McLean (16), Ohio (17), Union (17), Webster (16)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 8,533
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 6,668 (77%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 54
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 514 (6%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 154

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 3,506 cases, 2,696 recovered, 19 current hospitalizations, 190 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • Hancock County – 298 cases, 229 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 17 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,067 cases, 1,614 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 132 ever hospitalized, 40 deaths
  • McLean County – 390 cases, 303 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 30 ever hospitalized, 20 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,018 cases, 760 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 69 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths
  • Union County – 716 cases, 621 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 40 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 538 cases, 445 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 36 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 27 cases
  • 1-11 — 257 cases
  • 12-19 — 707 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,391 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,295 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,302 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,240 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,070 cases
  • 70-79 — 703 cases
  • 80+ — 532 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
