COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 153 cases, 312 recoveries reported for district

A total of 153 more cases of COVID-19 and 312 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 98 cases and 168 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (1) and McLean (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (98), Hancock (4), Henderson (14), McLean (4), Ohio (21), Union (5), Webster (7)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (168), Hancock (12), Henderson (47), McLean (11), Ohio (52), Union (8), Webster (14)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 18,327
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 14,148 (77%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 29
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 772 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 310

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 8,527 cases, 6,500 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 303 ever hospitalized, 142 deaths
  • Hancock County – 708 cases, 529 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,973 cases, 3,048 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 190 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 773 cases, 604 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 46 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,161 cases, 1,707 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 106 ever hospitalized, 44 deaths
  • Union County – 1,160 cases, 960 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,045 cases, 800 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 53 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46%
  • Female: 54%

  • <1 — 74 cases
  • 1-11 — 631 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,590 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,027 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,899 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,813 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,631 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,244 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,423 cases
  • 80+ — 995 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
