Owensboro 46, Butler County 40
The Owensboro Lady Devils won their fourth-straight game Friday when they hit the road and took down Butler County in Morgantown.
Owensboro used a solid second half to down the Lady Bears 46-40.
Krystell Pappas led the Lady Devils with 12 points while Alyrica Hughes added 11 points to also finish in double digits for OHS.
The Lady Devils now sit at 8-8 as they hit the court again today at Greenwood. Of their last five regular-season games, three are away from OHS with their only home games coming against Apollo (Monday) and Trinity (March 8).
Owensboro Catholic 65, Muhlenberg County 24
The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces led wire-to-wire and nearly lead by a 20-spot to start the game as they coasted to victory over Muhlenberg County.
In a rematch of last year’s 3rd Region Tournament Championship, the Lady Aces never gave the Mustangs a chance in the 65-24 win.
Owensboro Catholic scored 19 in each of the first two quarters as they led 38-13 at the break before putting the game away in the second half.
Freshman Hailee Johnson led a trio of Lady Aces in double digits as she finished with a game-high 12 points. Maddie Hayden added 11 points and Rachel Traylor chipped in 10 points in the victory.
Catholic hosts Butler tonight at the Sportscenter.
