Owensboro 82, Ohio County 66
The Owensboro Red Devils bounced back after Wednesday’s loss to Bowling Green in a big way Friday as they took down Ohio County at home.
The Red Devils downed the Eagles 82-66.
Owensboro is now 8-5 on the year as the Red Devils play their final regular-season game Tuesday at Owensboro Catholic in a battle that’ll determine the top seed in the 9th District Tournament.
Greenwood 75, Owensboro Catholic 62
Owensboro Catholic couldn’t turn Thursday’s win over Daviess County into another victory as they fell to Greenwood at the Sportscenter.
After the game was tied 20-20 after the first, the Gators’ offense exploded as they led by 15 at the break, which carried over into the second half in the 75-62 win over the Aces.
Brian Griffith led the Aces 23 points while Ji Webb finished with 15 points in the loss.
Catholic is now 14-6 and plays Sunday at Apollo then hosts Owensboro on Tuesday.
Calloway County 84, Trinity 65
The Trinity Raiders dropped their second game in as many nights and ninth straight as they fell to Calloway County Friday in Lexington.
The Lakers cruised to the 84-65 victory.
Nathan Hernandez led the Raiders with 17 points while Landon Huff (12 points) and Denver Dickens (11 points) also finished in double digits for THS.
Trinity now sits at 5-15 on the year and play Monday at home against Muhlenberg County.
