Forest Park (Ind.) 5, Daviess County 4
Forest Park (Ind.) needed three runs in the bottom of the seventh to take down Daviess County 5-4 Friday night.
The Panthers led 4-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh before they allowed a walk-off hit to end the game.
Cason Troutman was the only DC player with multiple hits as he went 2-4 with a run in the game. Decker Renfrow, Garrett Small and Layton Huskisson had the RBIs for the Panthers in the loss.
The Panthers host Bowling Green today at DCHS.
Trinity 13, Cannelton (Ind.) 3
The Trinity Raiders scored early and often against Cannelton (Ind.) Friday in Whitesville as they cruised to the 13-3 victory.
The Raiders scored three in the first and added two in the second to set the tone but the game was busted open when they scored six in the bottom of the fifth inning to put the game in hand.
Trinity was led by Landon Huff’s big day at the plate as the junior went 2-4 with 5 RBIs, 2 runs and a double in the win. Nolan Mills (2-3, 2 R) and Hayden Aull (2-2, 2 R), Will Hernandez (1-3, 3 RBIs, 3 R), Nathan Hernandez (2 RBIs) and Maso Mattingly (1-3, RBI, 2 R) all helped out at the plate in the victory.
Mills also grabbed the win on the hill for the Raiders. Mills had five strikeouts and allowed three earned runs in 2.2 IP.
Trinity plays today at Livingston Central.
