Bowling Green 9, Apollo 8
Apollo led 7-2 heading to the bottom of the fourth but the Bowling Green Purples scored the next seven runs, including two in the bottom of the seventh to take the game.
Mallory Velotta (2-4, 3 RBI, R) and Morgan Julian (2-4, R) led the E-gals at the plate while Morgan Frizzell (1-3, 2 R) and K’Asia Palmer (1-4, 3B, 2 RBI, R) helped Apollo from the top part of the lineup.
Abby Miles, Olivia Crawford and Hannah Snell also scored in the game.
Errors hurt Apollo as they finished with five in the game.
Apollo plays Wednesday at Owensboro.
Daviess County 10, South Spencer 0 (5 innings)
The Daviess County Lady Panthers scored in all but one inning Monday as they cruised by South Spencer 10-0 in five innings on Senior Day.
Greysee Whiteker got the win after she struck out two and walked one to finish with a no-hitter.
Millie Roberts led DC as she went 4-4 with two home runs, a double, six RBIs and three runs in the victory.
Abby Newman (1-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R), Jessie Daniels (1-2, RBI), Katie Mewes (2 R), Kelsea Roby (1-1, 2 R) and Kinsey Vergason (1-2, 2 RBI) also had solid days at the plate.
Daviess County hosts Henderson County on Thursday.
McLean County 11, Owensboro 3
McLean County jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first and never looked back as the Lady Cougars took down Owensboro 11-3 on Monday in Calhoun.
Sophie Moorman went 1-2 with a run while Addison Hill also scored in the game for the Red Devils.
Lindsey Gibson and Abby Walker each finished with singles and had RBIs in the loss.
Owensboro hosts Apollo on Wednesday.
