OPD: Owensboro man sets house on fire after barricading inside, arrested after exiting

An Owensboro man barricaded himself inside a residence then set it on fire late Saturday night. He was then arrested upon exiting and faces several charges, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

At approximately 11:43 p.m., OPD responded to the 2200 block of Old Henderson Road to a disturbance where 32-year-old Rafael Ramirez barricaded himself inside the residence alone. 

Detectives responded to investigate and charged Ramirez with second-degree arson, first-degree wanton endangerment, two counts of first degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
