The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) notifies the public of improvements for KY 1456/Reid Road in Daviess County. A contractor will address base failure repairs, leveling and wedging as well as asphalt resurfacing. Resurfacing efforts will begin 254 feet (mile point 5.440) south of Reid Road extending North to KY 144 (mile point 7.308), a distance of 1.86 miles.

Motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.  Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.

The work is scheduled for completion in three weeks.

Rogers Group Inc. is the prime contractor on this $142,191 highway improvement project.

KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
