The Center of Owensboro-Daviess Co., Inc. is hosting a fundraiser this Saturday, craftily titled Rolling on the River. Presented by Independence Bank and sponsored by Owensboro Health, the event will feature music, food and drink trucks, a cornhole tournament, and bunco games.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with the cornhole tournament and bunco games slated for 7. Tickets are $25 each.

J’s Good Grub, the Lure Smoke Shack, and the Brew Bridge Trolley will be on site serving their famed specialties.

“Events like this make it possible for us to continue to offer so many of our services for free to the community,” said executive director Erica Wade. “It is a win-win: everyone can come out and have a great time while supporting an important cause.”

Proceeds from the evening will fund the nonprofit’s many services, such as resource referral, free parenting classes, supervised family visitations, and a full menu of therapeutic services.

Registration is available here or on the night of the event. Contact The Center at 270-684-3837 or email [email protected] with any questions.

The center exists to provide caring connections for children and families in Owensboro and Daviess County. Their ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone in the community has access to the resources and services they need to thrive.

“I am particularly excited about this event as we have grown so much over the last year, and we are eager to make people aware of all of the services we offer here at The Center,” Wade said. “This is a fantastic opportunity to share our mission with people who may not have previously been familiar with our organization.”
