Lu-Ray Park & Amphitheater, the City of Central City, and Rumsey Records, LLC are proud to announce that two-time Grammy-winner John Prine will perform at Lu-Ray Amphitheater on Saturday, July 13, 2019 as part his Tree of Forgiveness World Tour. This very special evening is billed as, “A Night in Paradise,” in recognition of Prine’s world-renown song about the small Muhlenberg County town of Paradise that used to exist just miles away from the concert site.

Lu-Ray Executive Director Melissa Recke stated, “One of our goals for our 2019 season was to bring in an artist who would attract folks from all across the region, the nation, and dare I say… from around the world. One name instantly came to mind. I’m ecstatic to announce that JOHN PRINE is coming ‘…back to Muhlenberg County…’ in 2019! Oh, what a night this will be!”

“It’s truly the stuff from which dreams are born and memories are made. This is the opportunity to see the legendary JOHN PRINE, at the peak of his career, perform in Muhlenberg County, at the magnificent Lu-Ray Amphitheater, just miles away from ‘…where Paradise lay…’ For a Prine fan, what could possibly be better than that? It’s like coming home. WOW!” exclaimed promoter, Heath Eric of Rumsey Records LLC.

Recke continued, “We strongly encourage fans to secure tickets as soon as they go on sale. We expect to see a high demand for tickets.”
